JUE-251 Fleet Broadband

Powerful Maritime Connectivity with JUE-251 FleetBroadband

The JUE-251 FleetBroadband solution provides high-speed satellite communication that is robust and reliable, ensuring continuous voice and data connectivity. It supports FleetBroadband services based on 3G standards, offering up to 284 kbps broadband data and 128 kbps IP streaming data. The solution features a compact unit with an advanced network router and industry-standard interfaces. The new above-deck equipment (ADE) design reduces antenna size and weight by 40% while maintaining stability and simplifying installation. A single coaxial cable setup and no requirement for gyro or GPS input further enhance ease of use. The JUE-251 integrates a blockage setting function, allowing registration of up to six satellite blocking areas such as the radar mast or funnel. The system also supports Remote Maintenance System (RMS) access over a dedicated JRC IP connection, enabling remote servicing via the Inmarsat satellite link. Additionally, JRC’s Inmarsat C model, the JUE-87, can poll the status of the JUE-251 from shore if the ship’s IP connection is unavailable. The unit offers flexibility through its new interfacing, including a dedicated non-SOLAS voice distress port and an integrated WAN selector that automatically switches to a secondary network when the primary is disconnected.
