NBDP (Radio Telex) JSS-2250

NBDP (Narrow Band Direct Printing) is a part of the JSS-2250 that can provide reliable radio telex communications on MF/HF frequencies. NBDP was developed to allow maritime operators the ability to communicate efficiently with text-based supplied to their vessel. The NBDP system machine runs in tandem with the JSS-2250 MF/HF radio. The NBDP terminal has a 10.4-inch color screen for visibility and glare; it also helps protect against the elements themselves as visibility can often times be an issue at sea. The terminal keyboard is water resistant, designed for durability and usability in difficult marine conditions. The terminal has straightforward menus with editing options, onboard storage, and direct telex communications. It fully meets GMDSS requirements for the sending and receiving of distress and safety messages with shore radio stations and with other ships. The terminal also helps comply with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) measures for enhancing safety at sea.
