Simrad Sounders

Simrad offers a diverse range of SONAR devices for both fishermen and professional mariners. These devices measure depth from the vessel and underwater objects like rocks, reefs, schools of fish, and others by sending down sound waves and measuring the time it takes for them to reflect from the object. Simrad’s sounders are designed for high accuracy in diverse marine conditions as well as easy and intuitive user control.

Echosounders help prevent vessels from colliding with underwater objects or running aground. Many fishing vessels use sonar to easily find and target schools of fish.

Simrad’s range of echosounders meets all the specific IMO standards and comes with modern controls and interfaces for easy use. The echosounders feature integrated alert management systems reducing the need for constant manual monitoring. The echosounders can also record depth readings for up to 12 hours with a removable microSD card.

Simrad also offers a SONAR system designed specifically for fishing vessels, the S2009 Fish Finder. The device offers enhanced target separation and shows the water column in high detail.
