JRCS JACOM-55 - Distributed Power Management System for Marine Generators

JACOM-55 is a distributed power management system for generator control. It utilizes a 5-inch LCD display to provide clearer and easier-to-use interface. The system has dual isolated CPUs, one for generator control and another for engine protection, to ensure it will not fail. Back-up communication paths between units are an additional system safety assurance. The system could be synchronized against the vessel's master clock as an attempt at obtaining reliable ship time and event logging. Since it is being designed as a second-generation system after JACOM-22, JACOM-55 maintains central operation but incorporates heightened ruggedness, reduced operational expense, and simpler usage.
