The NMEA Course magnetic heading repeater provides a visual indication of the ship's heading from digital magnetic inputs. It has a 160mm rotating compass card with 1° graduations, which is easy to read and provides indication of the rate of turn and heading keeping. The instrument is especially beneficial for the bridge team members and helmsman who are in charge of monitoring the ship's heading. It requires a digital input from such equipment as the Lilley & Gillie GS820 TMC. The internally lighted dimming enhances light levels under low lighting conditions, and the power fail alarm ensures reliability in operation.
